calmer trading

4000 shares
grade -3

Wow, whiplash day, with all the bad news the bears couldn't keep the market down. Looks like a short term bottom at least.

I trade it decently today, didn't get emotional and just executed the trades as they came. Trading small shares helped.

Re-read The disciplined trader,

key points
  • the market is just information, you have no control over it and it doesn't have any control over your actions.
  • the fear you feel is because you fear yourself. If you trust yourself to make the correct decisions, there will be nothing to fear.
  • focus on trading better, follow your rules, money is a by product of good trading.
  • specialize - narrow down your trading, focus on one or just a few patterns.
